After the death of her grandmother, Kana returns to Japan in order to find some resolution and ends up examining her own life.

ABOUT

AKASHI was developed through TELUS Storyhive's Digital Shorts: Female Directors Edition. Through a voting process, the team awarded $10,000 to create a short film. Once the pilot was completed, AKASHI entered another round of competition, where it won the grand prize, granting its filmmakers an opportunity to attend Banff Media Festival 2017.
